巨人菜鳥先發韓斯頓(Chris Heston)10日主投9局無安打無失分，率隊5比0完封大都會，投出生涯首場無安打比賽，同時成為繼2007年紅襪巴寇茲(Clay Buchholz)後，聯盟首位有此表現的菜鳥投手。
韓斯頓此役燃燒小宇宙，完投9局，用球數110球，飆出11次三振沒有四壞保送，無安打無失分，可惜投出3次觸身球保送，無緣寫下完全比賽，但仍締造大聯盟本季首場、同時也是巨人隊史第17次無安打比賽。
三振掉最後一名打者，韓斯頓振臂歡呼，隊友也上前與他擁抱祝賀；這僅是他生涯第13場先發，2013年曾被巨人移出40人名單，本季因肯恩(Matt Cain)因傷缺陣，他終於擠進先發輪值，先發12場繳出6勝4敗，防禦率3.77，其中7場優質先發，今天的驚人表現也讓他成為繼2007年巴寇茲，首位投出無安打比賽的菜鳥先發。
「我就是不斷攻擊好球帶，投出有質量的球。」韓斯頓說，「我知道這場比賽的意義，很高興能參與其中。我現在情緒很激動，很期待之後的慶祝。」
這也是巨人連4年都有投手演出無安打比賽，2012年肯恩，2013、2014則由林瑟肯(Tim Lincecum)創下。最近一次有球隊連4年都有無安打比賽的是1962至1965年的道奇，全都由名人堂球員考菲克斯(Sandy Koufax)包辦。
不但投球表現優異，韓斯頓打擊也毫不含糊，單場4支2，貢獻2分打點，生涯首次有打點進帳。巨人全隊狂敲13安打，包括杜菲(Matt Duffy)以及佩尼克(Joe Panik)各敲出1發陽春砲，5比0獲勝，目前33勝26負在國聯西區僅落後給龍頭道奇1場勝差。
