台北市長柯文哲昨拍板定案，世大運開閉幕改在台北田徑場，國民黨市議員王鴻薇認為，北市府意識到沒辦法處理大巨蛋問題，大巨蛋還可能成為「爛尾樓」，決定換場地，但換場地並不代表柯文哲面對大巨蛋問題就可以擺爛、拖延。
王鴻薇說，柯文哲面對遠雄「不散、不合、不走」策略，已經意識到要處理大巨蛋問題，恐怕沒有那麼簡單，搞不好大巨蛋到最後沒辦法完工，還會成為全台最大的「爛尾樓」。
大巨蛋爭議多，民進黨議員許淑華表示，遠雄和北市府雙方立場僵持，大巨蛋與世大運脫鉤，能讓遠雄不再有任何藉口或理由逼迫北市府，至少世大運開閉幕還有台北田徑場和台北小巨蛋場地舉辦，讓民眾放心。
另一方面，許淑華認為，柯市府與遠雄別再「歹戲拖棚」下去，也別縱容遠雄，應盡快把大巨蛋問題解決、落幕。
國民黨議員李慶元指出，目前看來，大巨蛋無法如期完工的風險很高，世大運開閉幕勢必要改地點，他建議可搭配小巨蛋，主題活動在台北田徑場，附屬活動在台北小巨蛋，彌補空間不足。
