（中央社記者黃兆平紐約26日專電）總統馬英九提出南海和平倡議5項呼籲，受到美媒關注。「華爾街日報」報導，馬總統期盼資源共享，有助緩和南海緊張情勢；「紐約時報」也引用路透社及美聯社訊息作報導。
華爾街日報指出，馬總統提及台灣、中國大陸、菲律賓、馬來西亞、汶萊和越南6方，應該擱置主權爭議，建立資源合作開發機制。
美聯社提及，相較其他各國高調行事，台灣在南海爭議上比較低調，馬總統此時推出南海和平倡議期盼有助外交加分。
紐時及華爾街日報也說，面積廣達350萬平方公里的南海海域，蘊藏豐富石油、天然氣及漁業資源等，兵家必爭之地，潛在衝突源頭。
另外，中國大陸近來更大動作積極在南海建立島礁或人工島，並抗議美軍機飛越島嶼領空，引發緊張關係。
美媒同時提及馬總統在2012年曾提出類似的東海和平倡議，解決涉及中國大陸、日本等的爭議糾紛。1040527
